Action MS fundraisers will be jumping off the top of the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Saturday, 23 May 2009 to help families living with multiple sclerosis.
The sponsor backed abseil is open to anyone who has a head for heights and is prepared for a once in a lifetime experience.
Said Action MS Executive Director Jayne Smyth: "This is a great fun event and a spectacular way to raise funds for a worthy cause. Already several corporate teams have stepped up to the mark and we are hoping more individuals and groups will sign up now and enjoy the buzz!"
Action MS, the leading multiple sclerosis charity in Northern Ireland, provides a range of support for families living with this distressing disease.
This summer for example the charity will be running a programme of Medicare Breaks for people with multiple sclerosis who are virtually housebound and unable to travel. "Our medicare breaks provide professional support and make it possible for folk to get away for a short break. The breaks are a real tonic and we hope many families will benefit this year," said Jayne.
Action MS also offers befriending schemes, reflexology, digital inclusion courses and free legal advice. A special network of focus groups also engages with young people who are facing terrible uncertainty after being diagnosed with MS.
